These terms apply to repairs and bookings with Five Star Repairs ("we", "us", "our") in Mount Waverley, Victoria. By booking a repair or leaving a device with us, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We repair phones, tablets and devices — including screen replacement, batteries, charging ports, cameras and water damage — either at our Mount Waverley workshop or via our come-to-you mobile service.
Quotes and pricing
Prices shown on our website are indicative starting prices ("from") and a guide only. Your final price depends on your exact model and the fault, and we confirm it with you before any work begins. There is no deposit required to book.
Bookings
Booking online or by phone is a request for a repair. We'll contact you by phone or text to confirm a time and the price. We'll do our best to meet estimated timeframes, but they aren't guaranteed.
Repairs and parts
We use quality replacement parts. Some repairs carry a risk to the device or its data, particularly water damage and devices with existing damage — we'll tell you about any known risks before we start so you can decide whether to proceed.
Your data and backups
Please back up your device before any repair. While most repairs don't affect your data, we can't guarantee against data loss, and to the extent permitted by law we aren't responsible for it. You're responsible for keeping your own backup.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm you own the device or are authorised to have it repaired.
- You'll provide any passcode or remove device locks if they're needed to test the repair.
- You'll back up your data before the repair.
Warranty
Every repair comes with a 3-month workmanship warranty covering the parts we fitted and the work we performed. The warranty does not cover new accidental, physical or liquid damage that happens after the repair, or unrelated faults. If something isn't right with our repair, bring it back and we'll make it good.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the repair, once you're happy with it. We accept cash, card and contactless payment.
Uncollected devices
Please collect your device promptly once we let you know it's ready. We'll always try to contact you about an uncollected device before taking any further steps.
Liability and your consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any repair is limited to re-performing the repair or refunding the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply in addition to these terms and cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
